Break out Your Merge Cubes—It’s Time to Explore What’s New!
Whether your Merge Cubes have been waiting patiently in a cabinet or were utilized at summer school, now’s the time to bring them back into the spotlight this fall.

The first weeks of school are full of routines, fresh supplies, and rediscovering everything that makes your classroom tick. And if you’re a Merge EDU teacher, that means one thing—it’s time to get out your Merge Cubes and get ready for a year filled with hands-on discovery!
🚀 A New Year, A New Way to Learn
Merge EDU continues to grow, with exciting updates to your favorite apps and even more 3D content to support science, STEM, and future-ready learning. Start the year with classics like Plant Life Cycle, Reversible Change, or Weather Patterns, and let students reconnect with the magic of holding science in the palm of their hands.
If your students are new to the Merge Cube, that first moment—where digital objects appear in their hands—sets the tone for a year of curiosity. If they’re returning Merge explorers, now is your chance to push them further. Give them new topics to investigate. Invite them to record their own science explanations. Challenge them to build their own collections of 3D models.
✨ What’s New in Merge EDU?
Over the summer, Merge EDU introduced exciting updates—especially to Merge Creator, which now combines the best of scanning, uploading, editing, and adding multimedia labels to 3D objects in one powerful tool.

This year, students can scan real-world objects directly into Merge Creator using just their device’s camera. They can also upload 3D models they’ve made in programs like Tinkercad or Minecraft, and then edit those models to change their size, position, and orientation. But what really sets the experience apart is the ability to add multimedia labels—including text, images, video, and audio. Students can now document their thinking, explain their designs, and even present their ideas—all while holding their creations on the Merge Cube or placing them in the real world.

These upgrades make Merge Creator a perfect launchpad for project-based learning, science presentations, and student-led exploration throughout the school year.
Need a refresh on how it all works? Our updated activity plans, STEM projects, and support center are there to help. With just a few taps, you’ll find everything you need to jump back in, whether you’re teaching first graders about weather, or middle schoolers about energy and molecules.
🧠 The Merge Cube is so Many Things
At first glance, the Merge Cube is just a foam cube with interesting designs all over it—but in your classroom, it’s so much more! It’s a weather station, a cell under a microscope, the solar system, a beating heart, a creative canvas. It’s the gateway to helping students see the invisible and touch the impossible. And the best part? Every student gets a front-row seat.

Merge EDU is here to help you start strong. No matter your grade level or experience with AR, your Merge Cubes are ready—and so are we!
Not Sure Where to Begin?
Start simple. Pick one simulation from Merge Explorer and the corresponding activity plan. Pass out the Merge Cubes. Let students explore. Ask them what they notice. What they wonder. And watch the engagement grow!
